Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
The BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program requires students at Melonba High School to bring their own laptop to use at school. To ensure that the chosen device works in the school environment please download and read the Device Specifications document below. Please download the User Agreement and Policy and return the signed first page of the document to the school via email (Subject Line BYOD Agreement) or in person.

You may purchase your device from any outlet or store, but we have negotiated some special deals with JB HiFi to give you some guidance if you need it and to make it easier to make a selection.

Free Software Downloads for BYOD
The Department of Education has enterprise agreements which allow the download and installation of particular software, to support Bring Your Own Device initiatives.
Adobe products
The DoE’s enterprise agreement with Adobe allows students to download and install Adobe Creative Cloud for free on one personally owned device.

Microsoft products
The enterprise agreement with Microsoft allows students to download the full suite of Microsoft Office applications for use on their personal BYOD devices. These complete applications complement the provision of access to Microsoft Office 365 or “Office in the Cloud” now available. The Office 365 software and associated mobile apps can be used on a limited number of devices owned or used by students of the DoE at no charge.
